This one goes out to the drifters, the outlaws, the weary & the lonely ones
What originally started out as a mix inspired by Neil Young’s “Ditch Trilogy” turned into a sprawling meditation on American melancholy & discontent by ways of gothic country, loner folk, country rock, slowcore and folk-blues songwriters. My first few edits ended up being hours long, so I decided to cut it down to an hour and leave the door open for future volumes. I liked to think of it in sides too, so the first 30 minutes are some of the more rocking tracks while the second half leans more towards the slow & acoustic.
